Scientists have created a dental sensor that will control the power
Saying "We - that is what we eat" has a much deeper meaning than it may seem at first glance, because of the food consumed depends on many health indicators. But watch out for the fact that we use, and maintain food diaries is not always convenient, and not every need. There may come to the aid of high technology: experts from the School of Engineering at Tufts University have created a unique device, which is attached to the tooth surface and automatically records all the necessary nutrition information.
According to the editors of the journal Advanced Materials, scientists of the invention at the moment able to record information about the glucose consumption of salt and alcohol. The sensor itself consists of three layers: two outer layers, which act as an antenna for transmitting a signal and ground biopogloschayuschego, which is engaged in view of detection and nutrients. The received data is transferred to a special application on the smartphone. In addition, the sensor itself can change color depending on which substances are found in food.
It should be noted that such devices were created before, but they had a whole bunch of flaws: a small period of work and frequent recharging is necessary to use the protective material, the presence of wires and large dimensions. The new device has the same dimensions of 2 x 2 millimeter and devoid of the above disadvantages.
