Introduced island off Pakistan photographed from space

The island, which recently appeared in the Pakistani coast after the earthquake, was photographed from a satellite. Image unexpectedly formed piece of land in the high resolution was received by the French unit Pleiades. The new snapshot is allowed to accurately determine the size of the island.

The island has a nearly perfect round shape. Minor axis was 160 m, large -. 175, 5 m perimeter of the circle was 543 m, and the total area - 22726 sq. m. The island appeared near Gwadar after the region was an earthquake of magnitude 7, 7 points.

The scientists suggest that the formation appeared as a result of the shake-up of bottom sediments. Researchers predict that the island will not last long: soon the soft sediments will have to blur the water. This is not the first island, appearing here. Since 1945, this is the fourth such incident, and over the past 15 years - the third.
