Surreal prices in Venezuela
In Venezuela, the economic crisis has led to some shocking and surreal price distortions, which sometimes affect ordinary people. Photographer Carlos Garcia says, "I wanted to show in Venezuela, something more substantial, really show the current economic crisis in Venezuela. So this time I wanted to create images that would really show people the story in full, namely the insanely high prices for simple everyday products. The idea was simple: take a picture of a product with a price tag showing its equivalent in US dollars.
