During the excavation of ancient burial site in southern Russia remains of an ancient woman with an elongated skull were found.
The bones belonging to a person and many wild and domestic animals, as well as a large number of pottery, jewelry and bronze arrowheads were found in Gamurzievsky settlement in Nazran, Ingushetia.
However, the detection of the skeleton women, dating period between ages 4 and 6, is particularly unique due to its deformation strange skull and neck.

"History knows many examples of deliberate changes in the shape of the head," - said the representative of the archaeological center Eugene Krupnova conducting excavations.
The skulls were drawn from infancy with rings and tight bandages for the first few years of life as a sign of special status to enjoy certain privileges in society. In the remains of the ancestors of the elite from various tribes, including the Sarmatians, Alans, Huns, and elongated skull were found.
