Visit the photographer Cayya Williams (Sye Williams) in a Women's Prison "Valley" in Chowchilla, California was the reason to create a series of photographs that reflect the lives of American prisoners of girls.
Prison "Valley" was opened in April 1995. Despite the best efforts of the administration and the various rehabilitation programs, the level of recidivism among prisoners released from "Valley", is 72%.
