The architectural magazine eVolo published the best works submitted for the annual competition of the skyscrapers of the future ideas.
This is the ninth contest of this kind. 525 projects from 43 countries participated in it. Three winners and 20 laureates were elected strict jury, which included the world's leading experts in the field of architecture and design
Projects that you see here, do not come true tomorrow or even the day after tomorrow. However, they give an idea on how can change the appearance of cities in the future.
The first prize was awarded to the project, combining traits of the Korean architecture with features modern multipurpose high-rise building.

The second place went to the skyscraper-city with living quarters, recreation areas and commercial offices - all of this fit in the giant cube.

Environmentally friendly skyscraper got third place. It is assumed that it should neutralize greenhouse gases and thus reduce their content in the atmosphere.

"Sandy Babylon" - a group of eco-friendly structures, which, according to the author of the project, should serve as the scientific bases and attract tourists. The basic building blocks for the construction of these towers would sand treated with a 3-D printer using solar energy.
