Most office workers are grateful to the employer for the banal cup of tea or vouchers for lunch. But the staff of this site enjoy a host of benefits, from free beer and monthly social compensation to 45% of bonuses and annual leave with full pay. In addition, they are provided for 5000 pounds (6100 dollars) on transfers in any charity to choose from.
All this - the work of Chris Morlinga, founder and managing director of the portal Money.co.uk, who set out to create the best place to work. "Take care of my team - this is a task of paramount importance ... They are my most valuable asset," - said the businessman.
One of the cornerstones in achieving prosperity repairs were employees of the main office of the company - historically significant castle in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, - which cost £ 3 million (3, 7 million dollars). When upgrading consulted with all 50 employees of the company headquarters and cooperated with the famous interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
Now subordinates Chris Morlinga can conduct business meetings in "chalet", "library" or "ice cave", and enjoy a cinema in the style of "Star Wars", a games room and themed toilets in the style of Rolling Stones. Office area of 930 square meters - is the very playfulness, creativity and a lot of orange.
"The idea is to make this a wonderful, productive jobs. We have tried to simulate the design around the needs of the team. Some people want to work standing up, someone wants to work alone. Ultimately it all comes down to the fact, to create a space where you can feel comfortable, "- said Chris Morling.
In the seven years Money.co.uk project has gone from seven to 50 employees, and its creator continues to recruit staff, while still interested in the well-being of everyone with whom he works. At the beginning of the project to upgrade the main office, which lasted 14 months, the entrepreneur interviewed each slave that what is missing in their current workplace.
Morling (bottom left) is familiar with the popular interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen (lower right) by his coach. He invited him as needed someone able to think outside the box. Llewelyn-Bowen accepted the project as a chance to change the idea of the ugly, unfriendly and not conducive to creativity of modern office interior. Thus was born the idea to the execution staff wishes - from coffee machines to a "standing" jobs.
The result was incredible brightness and design of the office space, conceived especially for those who work in it. Employees climb the imposing steps of the castle and enter the reception area, decorated with green foliage that resembles a forest of Narnia.
The design also focuses on humor and social engagement: there are machines for popcorn, table football and a cinema in the style of "Star Wars." Morling himself loves most in his renovated castle men's dressing room, decorated in the style of steampunk. According to him, absolutely all employees were satisfied with the transformation of their workplace.
This is especially important given that the businessman decided to equip the office outside of London. "When I decided to build a business outside London, I realized that hiring will be a complex process. Eight years have passed, and I was lucky that I was able to create a team of the 50 best in the business people ... The next year, I will continue the search for the kings and queens in the field of technology, as the team is going to increase by 20% ", - he told Morling.
An ancient castle can seem an eccentric choice for a relatively modest office of the company, but Morling claims that it's really effective in terms of solution of expenses when compared to the same office space in London. Despite all the flatscreen panels on the walls, a first-class sound system and other "buns", the company reminds the owner that this is just the cherry on top of the cake. "All the wonderful physical environment - only a small part of the case, when you try to create a great place to work. When a team feels really valuable and listen to her opinion, the employees feel enthusiasm, and it is worth much more than all the benefits and privileges that we offer ", - the businessman said.
In addition to all these advantages, Money.co.uk employees can enjoy free office gym, yoga studio, and a flexible work schedule. In the days when motivation is not enough, the team members can play billiards, the PS4 console and pass on a glass of beer. Once a month, arranged lunch and evening meetings at the expense of the company, and every week a football and basketball matches. Employees with excellent results also receive up to 45% of the annual salary as a bonus. Each one offers a fully paid annual mini vacation abroad in places such as Florida, New York, Budapest, Dubrovnik and Copenhagen.
