Lauterach - one of the fastest growing municipalities of the federal state of Vorarlberg, Austria, why the need to expand childcare facilities are quite natural. Thus, in the existing kindergarten, it was decided to create a new space for the three other groups. The project is implemented by the studio Bernardo Bader Architekten.
The new building of the length of 65 and 20 meters wide, is made entirely of wood and stretched along a section reminding caterpillar. Three separate buildings united by a long, bright corridor, glazed on both sides. Each group has its own entrance niche - blue, pink and yellow.
Basic facilities such as a dining room, a gym and three group rooms are almost five meters in height. This has allowed to equip the recreation area on the mezzanine galleries: aside from the common rooms, they offer kids own a secure shelter. If they are curious, they can stay near the wire mesh on top and watch what is going on down there. groups of rooms open large windows into the garden. Cozy and bright space has become a real home for the children. "This is the first time when the first day of his visit to one of the kids did not cry because they have to stay here.
