To date, very fashionable restore old mansions. But as a rule, the architects left intact facades, and the interior was changed to a more modern, in accordance with the wishes of the owners.

05AM Arquitectura Architectural bureau received an order to perform the reconstruction of the XIX century Maison à Colombages house located in the suburbs of Paris (France). The owners of the house wanted to architects adapted the interior space to the modern realities, without losing the charm of the last century.

Maison a Colombages. Dining room. Specialists conducted a lot of work, taking orders. It was dismantled many alcoves (depressions), moldings, fireplaces, that shared space into small, poorly lit rooms.

But the architects removed, not all: some niches (where appropriate for the project) were abandoned. Living room combined with kitchen and dining room. Some depressions filled with built-in wardrobes. Window frames are made in the same style as that of 150 years ago.
